Mission Focus: Gateway 180

This month's Mission Focus by Third Baptist is on Gateway 180, one of our local mission partners. Gateway 180 is the largest Residential Emergency Shelter in the state of Missouri, serving women, children and families experiencing homelessness. They empower adults and families to become independent and permanently housed.

Gateway 180 began in 1977 as Christian Services Center, started by a member of Third Baptist. Its goal was to provide shelter, food, and a bed, getting people off the streets. Today it remains first and foremost a shelter, but its vision is much larger—to end family homelessness in the St. Louis community.
