Global Missions

Dan & Sarah Chetti – Lebanon
Dan and Sarah are the first International Ministries global servants in the Arab world. Dan is an Adjunct Professor at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary. Dan’s current focus is promoting strategic Arab ministries in seven countries in the Middle East and North Africa, called “Enduring Love”. Sarah has pioneered a ministry among foreign migrant women working as maids in Lebanon. She visits and ministers at three prisons, advocates for the rights of maids, fights human trafficking and runs an Integrated Centre for Migrant Domestic Workers, called, INSAAF: Justice and Compassion of Jesus. Sarah’s journals are available on the IM website. Due to the sensitive nature of Dan’s Enduring Love newsletters, they are not posted online.

Kit Ripley - Thailand
KIT’s primary ministry is with Imago Art Studio, an outreach of the New Life Center Foundation (NLCF) in northern Thailand. The New Life Center (NLC) is a partner of American Baptists in Northern Thailand, located, in Chiang Mai (meaning “New City”). This city is the second largest in Thailand, Bangkok being the largest. While a city of great beauty and cultural significance it also holds dark secrets. Over many years women from Chiang Mai and the wider region that includes Chiang Rai Province, as well as parts of neighboring Myanmar have been exploited and trafficked to southern Thailand.
Kit provides rehabilitative care for survivors of trauma, including sexual abuse, human trafficking and domestic violence through clinical mental health counseling and art therapy. She also supports spiritual formation through facilitating art and contemplative prayer retreats.
Additionally, Kit provides administrative support and consultation for the New Life Center administrative team and board of directors, conducts staff development and training and assists with public relations.
Dr. Tim and Kathy Rice
Dr. Tim and Kathy Rice are from St. Louis where he served on the staff of St. Louis University Hospital as an Associate Professor on the faculty of the School of Medicine. While both Tim and Kathy have always felt drawn to mission work, it was later in life when God opened the doors to Vanga Evangelical Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo where Tim works with training doctors and hospital administrators and Kathy works with missionary children.
Their Mission: We exist to follow the Great Commission in serving the poor together with our Congolese colleagues through providing healthcare, training leaders, effectively managing limited resources, and building partnerships.
Their work includes training the next generation of Congolese nurses, doctors, and health administrators in a Christ-centered, whole-person manner. Their resources are limited, so an important part of the learning experience is understanding how to make the most of those resources.

Jana Lee
After living and serving in Madagascar for three years Jana was drawn to the work of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) missions. Now she is serving with CBF in Larnaca, Cyprus among refugees and asylum seekers. She has expertise in health education, HIV prevention and water and sanitation health (WASH). She is serving as a health educator in Larnaca, while partnering with a non-profit called All4Aid. This is a faith-based, international organization that works with refugees and asylum seekers coming to and through Cyprus. Their mission is to work with displaced people.
Cyprus is currently the European country with the largest per capita population of asylum seekers, a number that has increased significantly over the last few years. Cyprus is a preferred destination on the migratory route because of its proximity to Northern Africa and the Middle East.
All4Aid works with refugees and asylum seekers with food and clothing distribution, water and sanitation programs, as well as mother and child programs. Jana develops health education programs to improve the lives of the refugees, asylum seekers, as well as local Cypriot people. With the support of CBF donors and All4Aid, the organization can provide resources to individuals that the camps and government cannot.
