Your Story and Broken Beauty

Dr. Tommy Simons

Martin Luther King said this: “The end of life is not to be happy and avoid pain.  It is to do the will of God, come what may.”  Friends, think about your story.  Think about your brokenness.  There is a broken beauty to your story.  Warts and all.  Pain and all.  And, like Paul, we will embrace our stories and we will put our hand to the plow and not look back.  It is part of who you are to keep on keeping on.  Embrace your story.  Embrace your broken beauty giving all glory to the one who was broken for us, Christ Jesus, our Lord.  Broken to give us strength to carry on from our brokenness.  And not only that, our brokenness, in the end, will give glory to Jesus Christ.
